Fund Development

Many homeless housing and service agencies are on a shaky financial footing, with not enough attention paid to fundraising. HomeBase works with agencies to develop and implement sound fund development plans that include diverse sources of funding, including foundations, local business, faith organizations and individual donors. We also help agencies make the most of federal and state funding opportunities, including preparation of applications for homeless assistance under McKinney-Vento and mental health and substance abuse funds under SAMHSA. As part of these efforts, we help identify opportunities to forge inter-agency partnerships to fund services and housing more efficiently and/or as a way to leverage additional federal, state or foundation grant resources.
