The Regional Steering Committee on Homelessness and Housing (RSC)
Homeless Policy and Advocacy Network (HPAN)
On June 17, 2011, HomeBase facilitated a joint meeting of the Regional Steering Committee on Homelessness and Housing (RSC) and the Homeless Policy and Advocacy Network (HPAN). RSC is a Northern California forum for open, respectful dialogue amongst homeless service providers, intermediaries, academics, corporate leaders, and others whose work touch on issues of housing and homelessness. HPAN, funded by the San Francisco Foundation, is a Bay Area forum wherein program planners, service providers, and government officials share best practices and organize advocacy efforts with regard to preventing and ending homelessness.
The June 17 joint meeting featured presentations and discussions on a range of topics, including data collection and utilization, community performance measurements, the state and federal budget crises, and sources of funding for homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing activities.
