Board of Directors
As a Sr. Policy Analyst at Homebase, Devra Edelman supports local governments and nonprofits in their efforts to end homelessness. Devra helps communities secure federal, state and local funding, implement programs and best practices, and understand the various regulations that govern potential homelessness solutions. Devra has worked directly with individuals, families and youth experiencing homelessness in San Francisco, Colorado and abroad for the past 30 years. She has extensive experience providing housing focused services and housing programs as well as advocating for policies and funding to support community efforts to address housing crises and poverty. These experiences serve as a foundation from which Devra supports communities as they strengthen their responses to ending homelessness. Devra grew up surrounded by the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and has lived in San Francisco since 1996. She enjoys spending time in nature – skiing, running, hiking, dancing and exploring. She also enjoys spending quality time with her son, whenever he isn’t busy snowboarding or skateboarding, and with her friends, family and cat. She has an MSW, MA, and a BA, all from the University of Denver.
