
Lily Harvey
Directing Attorney
Lily is a Directing Attorney at Homebase and leads the work of the Criminal Legal System Initiative. Her work with Homebase includes cross-sector technical assistance and training, policy strategy and advocacy, and community engagement. Lily has extensive experience working with people impacted by the criminal legal system and in poverty law. This informs her work at Homebase, where she examines inequities in community homelessness systems and the collateral consequences of the criminal legal system. Prior to joining Homebase, Lily worked for currently and formerly incarcerated persons as a legal, health, and policy advocate. Her work included educational programming and advocacy in youth detention, public health education and advocacy in adult prisons, and post-conviction representation for clients under sentence of death in California. Lily has a BA in Media Studies from Pitzer College and a JD from UC Berkeley School of Law.
