As a Directing Analyst at Homebase, Karen works with communities across the country to provide trainings, technical assistance, and support in evaluating and addressing needs and goals according to evidence-based best practices. Before joining Homebase, Karen was a collaborative partner in Chicago to strengthen the homeless system.Karen has also led several projects, at the intersection of health and housing including providing housing to people with HIV and contracting with managed care organizations. . Karen is a Wisconsin native, currently lives in Chicago and holds a BS in Education from The University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!) and a Masters in Public Affairs from Indiana University. She developed her passion for community development and local solutions working in the Peace Corps.
