Connecting Housing with Health Care, Income, and Services

topOfPage

Affordable housing is central to ending homelessness, but housing alone is not enough. To achieve housing stability and maximize independence, the needs of the whole person must be addressed with strengths-based and person-centered resources and supports.

Program Design & Implementation

Homebase works with communities to increase access to affordable, safe, and decent housing. We facilitate design of homelessness prevention initiatives, lead the way in implementing Housing First, foster partnerships between housing developers and service providers, and promote assertive landlord engagement strategies.

We help to integrate housing programs with health and behavioral health care, support access to benefits, and promote economic security through educational opportunities and living-wage employment.

Rather than creating disparate programs, we help communities integrate housing and services into coordinated systems of care, exponentially enhancing impact. And we help develop interventions targeted to meet the distinct needs of youth, veterans, families, and other sub-populations.
