Jean Field
Director of Policy and Implementation
Jean Field is the Director of Policy and Implementation at Homebase and provides technical assistance, strategic planning, and project management expertise on initiatives aimed at helping communities prevent and end homelessness. She works directly with community leaders and housing and services providers across California, including San Francisco, Napa, and Stanislaus County, and leads peer learning workshops in Northern and Central California. She especially enjoys gathering feedback from homeless individuals and housing and service providers, and implementing best practices and policies through practical, locally feasible solutions. Jean has extensive experience in the public sector, including legal, financial, policy, and operational management of city and state criminal justice agencies. Before working in the public sector, she was a journalist and nonprofit communications specialist. Jean has an English Literature degree from Reed College and a JD magna cum laude from Hastings College of the Law.
